Raeleen Molloy is an Australian author who wears many hats. She is a creative writer, editor for HeartWriting, Chakradance facilitator, remedial massage therapist, seamstress, two-time world record holder and kitchen witch. Raeleen is the author of Sugar Soap, a memoir that explores the loss of her father at an early age and the domino effect childhood trauma has on future relationships. With her unique brand of wit she takes us on her adolescent journey through 80s Australia into motherhood and beyond while digging into her deep-seated sense of not belonging.
She likes to think she spends her spare time tending her worm farm, hand feeding the resident water dragons and trying to grow vegetables. But you’ll probably find her reading anything from the Aldi catalogue, to literary classics, to author manuscripts.

Testimonials

“A sharp eye with a connected heart.”

— Rose, HeartWriting

“Your writing is amazing, Raeleen. The only problem with your story is that I started reading as I put on a pot of rice, and I was so engrossed that I simply couldn't stop reading! The kids were less than impressed with the burned, black crunchy bits in their fried rice.”

— Louise, The Story Collection

“What a book! It had me by the balls.”

— Kelly, Beta reader

“Can I say, your story is amazing. Epic even. So many highs and lows and I love how you leave off each section or chapter with such a conflicting emotional sentiment. Great emotional setups and let downs – feeling them right alongside you.”

— Brooke, Wattle Tree Press

“I love the way you wove the story in such a way that it flowed so easily (no doubt plenty of tinkering from your side to make it that way!)”

— Michelle, Writer, Perth WA
